There was a notification in the Gazette of India,dated 29/08/2017regarding revision of minimum wages(in the exercise of powers conferred by sub-section 6 of section 1 of the payment of wages act 1936(4 of 1936),hereby specifies twenty four thousand per month as the wages under said sub-section 6. I therefore request you to address the following queries: 1)Is the above mentioned notification approved by Ministry of HRD If yes,please mention the dates(Effective from). 2)Does the obove mentioned notification apply equally for contractual employees of central govt. 3)Does it apply to autonomous bodies of central govt.(All IIM and IIT) 4) Is the above notification applicable for employees under PB-1 of central govt.(Both regular and contractual)
