Respected Sir/Mam\nI have given the GATE 2016 exam for G&G having 3 sections of 65 questions. In which, first part is common, second part is for geophysics & third is aptitude. \nThis time the condition that if the candidate will not select the section then the section will not considered.\n\nThere is a problem in software given in GATE exam because the selection of second part was not possible there in that computer given by GATE Exam.\nI have send the mail to GATE authority in this regard & the matter was \n\nA discrepancy in the paper GG (Geology and Geophysics) of GATE examination 2016 conducted on 30th of January 2016, saturday (14.00 hrs_17.00 hrs).\nAs per the instructions , it was stated that for the said paper we were required to click the check box for answering optional sections, in case the checkbox was not selected the Save and next button and the Mark for review and next button would not be enabled.\nDuring the examination , the save and next button and the marked for review and next button were enabled even without selecting the checkboxes and thus we were allowed to answer the questions of Part B Geology Section of the paper. The answers clicked were even showed as saved.\nI request you to look into the matter and kindly consider the marked answers for evaluation even if the section has not been tick marked.\n\nThe authority send the reply \n\nWe are aware of this issue. I Thought, due to this discrepancy, I could not qualify the GATE -2016 exam .I am attaching my Result Copy in this regard.\n\nIn the above view, my queries are :\n(1) The information and hardware provided by GATE Office for the exam was not proper then why the candidate will suffer for this.\n(2) If the GATE Office had not consider that particular portion, then what are the chances for correction in the GATE Score card for me. \n(3) Is the GATE Office admit the mistake and reconsider then will send the corrected Score card. If not, then what will be the appropriate solution for that matter because this is the matter of a candidate future.\n\nPlease send me the reply as soon as possible
