I am IIT Bombay student, B.tech final year. This institute follows category system which is based on cumulative performance index and pending courses. Altough I belong to category 2 but I was kept in category 5 and when I asked for reason no one give exact reason for it. Because of which I was bound to take only 4 courses ( 24 credits) in my final semester. So I would like to know what are various possibilities because of which student in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay can be kept in category 5.
