Respected Sir/Madam , Kindly provide the following information under RTI Act. with respect to Honourable Minister , H.R.D. and Indian Institue Of Technology , Kharagpur. A brief description : This is related to expulsion of students from I.I.T. Kharagpur on academic ground .Total 8 students ( 7 being from reserved category ) were expelled from I.I.T. Kharagpur in the academic year 2012-13 on academic ground . The case of 3 students was taken up in National Commission Of Scheduled Caste where we justified that the case of affected students is genuine. It was directed by the commission to give the students one more chance .However I.I.T. Kharagpur didnt find merit in the case and declined it . Nevertheless considering our case as genuine N.C.S.C. Chairman Sri P. L. Punia wrote a letter to Honble H.R.D. Minister Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani regarding this issue. In this regard a petition was submitted by me ( I was the petitioner at N.C.S.C. and was a student at I.I.T. kharagpur that time ) along with the D.O. letter written by N.C.S.C. Chairman Sri P. L. Punia at Honourable H.R.D. Minister Residence and in the H.R.D. Ministry Office in August , 2014 ( It was given personally to the then Secretary , Department Of Higher Education) ( All the submitted documents can be downladed from the mail sent to Secretary , Department Of Higher Education on 19th September 2014 . A snapshot of the mail is attached with this RTI as supporting document. ) but no reply was recieved regarding the decision of Honourable H.R.D. Minister in this case . Kindly give the information regarding the decision of Honourable H.R.D. Minister as two years of academic life of affected students has already passed.
