SUB: Eligibility criteria for IIT JEE, for children born abroad but complete K-12 schooling in India Dear Sir/Madam, My daughter Stuti Parmar was born in the US on 27-Feb 2001 and is a US citizen by birth. Her parents, which is me and my wife, are Indian citizens by birth. We as a family relocated to India in 2002 and her complete schooling has been in India. She is currently a student of Class-IX at Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon. Stuti aspires for undergraduate programmes at one of the IITs and plans to write IIT JEE in 2019. However, there is no clarity in terms of her eligibility for an undergraduate study at an IIT. Question Is Stuti allowed to appear for IIT JEE in GEN or General Category in Common Rank List. (Note: Stuti is a US citizen by birth, but born to Indian parents. Stuti has lived in India all through her life and has gone through her complete schooling in India, in a CBSE affiliated school, DPS Gurgaon).
