Under R.T.I.- 2005 To The C.P.I.O Department of Higher Education New Delhi Subject- Regarding non-payment of hostel accommodation fees for M.tech by the institute as per the HRA allowance provided by central govt. norms. Respected Sir, With due respect i would like to state the following thing:- --As per the letter no.F.NO.17-2/2014-TS.I issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development,Department of Higher Education Technical Section-I(hereby attached for your kind reference),it states that the hostel accommodation will be provided by the institute if available to the M.tech students or else HRA allowance will be provided on the fellowship amount(Kindly refer the service conditions in notification). --The complete service as provided by the respective deptt. is given by M.tech students and the records can be verified. Under the RTI act-2005,I would like to know the following information(postal order for Rs. 10 enclosed):- --Under the service condition as mentioned in the above notification by MHRD ,kindly explain the HRA allowance provided to the M.tech students. --If the govt. institute is providing the hostel facilities, whether the institute can impose the hostel charges on the M.tech students. --If the hostel charges are being imposed by the institute, under what limits or as per the HRA allowance condition, the institute can apply the charges.
