2542 DOHED/R/2016/50136 nil We have large numbers of premier institutes for higher education in technology ,management studies and medicine.IIT(Indian institute of technology),IIMs(Indian Institutes of management),AIIMS(All India Institute of Medical Sciences) are the best among them. They are conducting separate exams for recruiting students for various courses . IIT-JEE,CAT,AIIMS are somewhat tough exams to crack, which cannot crack without a better coaching. And in India coaching centers are mainly concentrated in metropolitan cities. And the tuition fee is too large, which cannot afford by a middle class family. So these exams are not a competition between equals. So it cannot admit as a qualification to get into these premier institutions.Constitution provides education as the way to prosperity for the poor section. But rich people only entering (in majority)to these institutes and the poor people are always out of the competition. So the vicious cycle of rich becoming richer and poor becoming poorer continues.\nSo for getting the clear idea about these I need to know who all are clearing the above mentioned exams.\nI need to know the economic background (both in general category and reserved category) of those students who got into IITs and AIIMS for the last 5 years(2010-2015).\nEconomic background can be attribute to the income of their parents. And I need to to know the places ,from where most number of students got selected into IITs and AIIMS 13/01/2016 nil Reply attached. 2546 DOHED/R/2016/50108 nil This is with regards to the Common Entrance Test conducted by IIM Ahmedabad on 29th November, 2015 for admission to all the IIMs and other colleges in India for MBA.\n\nResult scorecard for this exam was available on CAT website https://iimcat.ac.in on 8th November 2015 evening time. Although, result was leaked out in morning itself and many students had access to the result in the morning itself by some source coding.\n\nI received my percentile score via SMS on my mobile phone in evening and checked my score card on the website. Overall percentile i received is 88.23 percentile which is way too less than the marks i was expecting.\n\nIve given many mock tests before the exam day and had always scored more than 96 percentile and adding to that my main exam on 29th November 2015 was realy good and was expecting more than 98 percentile.\n\nWhat pulled my attention to the possibility of error in the score card is my scores in individual sections : \n\nSection in which i am very strong and should had scored very good score : Quantitative Ability :: Scored 78.53 percentile\n\nSection in which i am weak and should had scored less : Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension :: Scored 96.89 percentile\n\nSection in which i am good and should had scored good : Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning :: Scored 65.46 percentile\n\nThere is a very high possibility of an error here.\n\nThis exam score is very important for me as i am aiming to join IIM A, IIM B or IIM C as these colleges provides very good support to budding student entrepreneurs. And i am looking to be one in sync with Startup India and MAke in India initiative of GOI. My career direction is completely dependent on this scorecard as of now.\n\nFrom this RTI, i expect detailed information on :\n\nNo. of Questions is attempted (Each section wise)\nNo. of Right answers i gave (Each section wise)\nNo. of Wrong answers i gave (Each section wise)\nComplete methodology and calculation by which i got the score of 88.23 percentile.\n\nIf at all there is an error in my score card, then it needs to be sorted out before January 2015 end as admission procedure has already started. Attached is the score card i received for your perusal.\n\nKindly take this up as an urgent and top priority application. 11/01/2016 nil Info supplied vide letter No.16-7/2016 (RTI-12)-TS.V dated 03.02.2016.
