Study in India

This Programme was launched on 18.04.2018 with the aim of attracting foreign students to Indian higher educational institutions (HEIs) through systematic brand building, marketing, social media and digital marketing campaigns. The programme involves partnership with select Indian institutes/universities (based on NIRF Ranking and NAAC grading). A centralized admission web-portal (https://studyinindia.gov.in) acts as a single window for the admission of foreign students under Study in India. An examination named PRAGATII (Performance Rating of Applicants through Global Aptitude Test for Indian Institutions) is conducted to offer Study in India Scholarships to meritorious foreign students. Though students from all over the world can apply under this flagship programme, yet few countries from South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa have been identified as focused countries.

Education Services & Internationalization of Higher Education (ES-IHE)-Champion Services Sector Scheme(CSSS)

In Education Services under CSSS, Internationalization of Higher Education is carried out, through ES-IHE sub-scheme, to position India as a premium destination for quality education for foreign students through grant of scholarships, strengthening of infrastructure facilities, developing multi-lingual websites and other facilitation. Thus, ES-IHE scheme is used to implement the critical interventions under Study in India (SII) Programme.
