This is a query regarding the notification released on 06/02/2019 (ECS 143/6) to Registrar of all IITs - signed by Kundan Nath, Under Secretary to Govt. of India (Sastri Bhawan/ Feb 05, 2019).
The subject line of the OM says - Revision of emoluments and guidelines on service conditions for the research personnel engaged in R&D programme of the Central Government Departments/Agencies. (PFA)
Query 1: Kindly define the designations of individuals coming under the category defined as research personnel engaged in R&D programme
Query 2: Students enrolled for PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) programme at IITs come under the above category
Query 3: If the answer to Query 2 is No or partially Yes, list out the eligible sections - amongst the students enrolled at IITs who are eligible to receive this revised emoluments |

The status of my RTI says -DISPOSED OF. However, the reply document provided to me says -... your application is being transferred under section 6(3) of RTI Act, 2005 to the CPIO, U-1 section,... I understand the information I have sought is still pending to be provided and my application is transferred to a different CPIO. The status -DISPOSED OF as on 16/05/2019- is misleading. A better status could have been -Transferred to- so that I can still wait for the online reply in this RTI portal.
The information I have sought under this RTI was for a notification released on 06/02/2019 (ECS 143/6) to Registrar of all IITs - signed by Shri. Kundan Nath, Under Secretary to Govt. of India. I filed an RTI seeking information via the only available PIO details displayed in the online portal for Department of Higher Education, MHRD. To my surprise, the reply document was signed and transferred by Shri. Kundan Nath, Under Secretary & CPIO to a different CPIO. I am confused as I do not understand this -transfer process.
However, the information I have sought is still pending, and the RTI status DISPOSED OF is misleading to me as I am waiting for further information. |

This is to request information pertaining to the 2 JEE Mains Examinations conducted by NTA in Jan. 2019 and April 2019.
(I) Distribution (histogram) of marks& and statistics (minimum, maximum, mean, median and standard deviation) of marks& of candidates with CRL in range 2500 to 3500 as well as CRL in range of 39500 to 40500.
&Marks including Total, Marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry in each of the 2 examinations.
(II) Distribution of ranks and NTA scores of candidates with best total mark of 180.
(III) I am interested in analyzing the data for my personal use. Hence I would like to request access to appropriately anonymized data (Candidate ID, Location, Marks, Score, CRL).
Also, would like to request information on how robust the CRLs are with respect to other definitions of scores. (e. g. if the score formula used in Telangana Common Entrance is used instead of NTA score)

Sir,
Namaskar, My son Bhuvan Aggarwal appeared in Jee Main Paper 1 in Jan 2019 with Roll No PB06300072 and in April 2019 with Roll No CH01700942 and his application number is 190310033454. On finding the result of Jee Main Paper 1 on 29th april 2019 , he is greatly upset and agrieved because he got higher marks in April 2019 Exam than Jan 19 Exam, but he got lesser percentile score in April 19 than Jan 19 Exam.
Therefore, in the interest of encouragement and boosting morale of my son, It is requested that detailed calculation of normalized percentile score of my son obtained in Jan 19 and in April 19 i.e. how It has been calculated, shall please be provided to me via my Email ID premnathaggarwal@yahoo.in or my below given address. Regarding no transparency in Jee mains result. No marks are being shown in the result of jee mains and also how the level of difficulty of different sessions is being calculated nothing could be inferred. Difficulty varies from student to student.
This year cutoff is just a percentile if converted to marks comes out to be nearly 120 marks for general candidate. seeing previous year trends such a hike from 74 to 120 is just a shock for students.
Please bring transparency in your result and refer to marks system not percentile. Many students are seeing that they scored higher marks but less percentile which just led to crash of dreams. Till last year a student scoring 120 marks was having a rank nearly 33000 - 35000 but this year it is 100000 which is not fair from a student side.
Please refer to this and bring some good news for students.
