Madam/Dear Sir, There has been multiple media reports since April quoting various official/unofficial sources regarding supernumerary seats for girl candidates. I want to know the following/any information available with your institute in regards to query below: 1. It is mentioned that 14% of the girl candidates will be admitted in IITs for exam to be conducted in 2018. If number of girl candidate admitted without supernumerary seats is suppose 9%, will 5% be seats added as percentage of original total number of students or the number after adding supernumerary seats 2. What are the 12th board marks cutoff to be considered for supernumerary seats 3. For consideration under supernumerary seats, should 12th board marks should be 75% or above and top 20 percentile of respective OR either of the condition should be fulfilled 4. If a candidate appears for improvement exam, is best of marks will be considered. Also which year (original or improvement) will be considered for purpose of percentile cutoff.
