Rs. 2 crore was approved for Thoothukudi for the 12th Plan period under the component of infrastructure grant in the 7th Project Approval Board Meeting held on 28th March, 2015 under Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). \n\nThe total amount of Rs. 2 crore was approved to the college in the applicable Centre: State ratio. Central share for this amount is Rs. 1.2 crore and State share is Rs. 0.8 crore.\n\n1st instalment of central share of Rs. 0.1625 crore was released for the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Constituent Model College, Nagalapuram located in Thoothukudi District college vide sanction order dated 21st July, 2015 and second instalment of Rs. 0.7375 crore was released for the college vide sanction order dated 30th September, 2016.\n\nThe sanction letters have been mailed to your given E.mail ID since the data limit of RTI portal does not allow attachment beyond 1 MB.\n\nThe XI meeting of PAB under RUSA has not yet been held.
