1. As per MHRD letter F.No.17-2/2014-TS.I dated 18th February 2015 JRFs and SRFs are eligible only for casual leave. How many casual leave can JRFs and SRFs can avail.\n2. Why PhD scholars under AICTE funded and centrally funded technical institutions under the MHRD not eligible for privilege leave as in case of scholars under Department of Atomic Energy, DAE (ref: No. 10/1(21)/2014/Fellowship/R&D-II/3943).\n3. Why PhD scholars under AICTE funded and centrally funded technical institutions under the MHRD not eligible for sick leave.\n4.Are PhD scholars under AICTE funded and centrally funded technical institutions under the MHRD can avail paternity leave.\n5.Please, provide a copy of MHRD letter No. 25-2/2010-TS.II dated 30.09.2010

As regards point 1, it is informed that MHRD letter F.No.17-2/2014-TS.I dated 18th February 2015 lays down the revision of rates of Ph.D scholarships in AICTE funded and Centrally funded technical institutions under the Ministry including the service conditions and other related conditions. \nAs regards points 2 to 4, these do not come under the purview of Section 2 (f) of the RTI Act. \nAs regards point 5, a copy of MHRD letter No. 25-2/2010-TS.II dated 30.09.2010 is attached.

1. According to MHRD order No.25-2/2010-TS-II dated 30.09.2010 JRFs and SRFs can avail only casual leave. Number of Casual leaves is based on the Institute as per their service rules.\n2. & 3. : These do not come under the purview of Section 2 (f) of the RTI Act.\n4. As per clause 3.3 of the above mentioned order only female candidates in all categories can avail maternity leave as per Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time.\n5. The copy of MHRD order No.25-2/2010-TS-II dated 30.09.2010 is attached.
