Dear Sir/Madam,\n In the recent circular dated 17/06/2016 IIT Indore informed that HRA will no longer be provided to its PhD Scholars. Please note that the hostel accommodation of IIT Indore has been provided in rented apartments of Silver Spring Township Indore. In this regard, according to the RTI Act 2005, I wish to ask the following questions:\n\na) According to the Institute of Technology Amendment Act 2012, can an IIT withhold HRA if hostel accommodation cannot be provided in a permanent campus.\n\nb) How much amount does the institute spends for rented hostel accommodation in Silver Spring.\n\nc) Does these rented hostel accommodations fulfill the required facilities to be provided by an IIT Hostel.
