Dear Sir/Madam,\n\nIn the circular, recently forwarded to the students of IIT Indore there is a sudden hike in the fees of PhD scholars of almost 148 percent for the AY 2016-17, Autumn Semester. In this reference, under RTI Act 2005, I look forward to seek the answers of the following questions:\n\na) What are the criterias under which the fees structure has been suddenly hiked to 148 percentage.\n\nb) Is fees hike in accordance with The Institutes of Technology, Amendment Act 2012.\n\nc) Can a fee hike be implemented on existing PhD scholars. If yes, then according to which Annexure, Section, Number.\n\nd) Before such a hike, was the institute required to inform or consult with the student community.
