No Public information officers are available in the below mentioned IITs, so the RTI is filed to the MHRD.\n\nDue to suspicion of irregularities in the faculty recruitment in IIT Tirupati (Advertisement No. IITTP/RMT/F-01/2016) and IIT Palakkad (Advertisement No.IITPKD/R/F/01/2016), I require following information: \n\nKindly provide the following details for the faculty recruitment 2016. The details are required only for the post of Assistant Professor:\n\n1. The number of Assistant Professor Posts/Positions that were available in the following departments, kindly specify separately for each sub field.\n a. All streams of computer science and technology.\n b. Mechanical Engg.\n i. Mechatronics (IIT Tirupati), Design and Manufacturing (IIT Palakkad)\n ii. Thermal Sci.\n iii. Fluid Dynamics\n\n2. The minimum academic & scientific requirements that a candidate (for Assistant professor position) require to be shortlisted for an interview for the above mentioned fields. If the requirements depend on the field, kindly specify separately for each sub field. Provide the details and a copy of the faculty selection committee approved document regarding the same.\n\n3. Provide the details of the number of candidates those had the minimum requirements and the number of candidates shortlisted for interview. Provide related documents approved by the committee.\n\n4. If there were candidates with all minimum academic & scientific requirements and were not shortlisted for interview, kindly provide the reason for the same in detail (candidates personal details not required).\n\n5. Kindly provide the information regarding the no. of candidates those who uploaded their documents online (only for the above fields, but mention the numbers separately for each field). Whether all candidates who uploaded the documents online were reviewed by the selection committee before shortlisting. If not, kindly provide the reason. Kindly provide related documents, if any. Kindly provide the details of the faculty selection committee members.\n\n6. Provide the information about the action that the MHRD could take, if there are prima facie evidence denoting irregularities.
