The queries in this application pertain to the Registration of Copyright Societies and the status of M/s Phonographic Performance Limited as on the date. 1.Is it true that the said M/s Phonographic Performance Limited was required to re-register themselves as Copyright Societies under the Copyrights Act-2012 within a period of one year (i.e. on or before 21-06-2013) 2.Has the said company M/s Phonographic Performance Limited submitted any application for re-registration If Yes, Kindly provide a copy of the said application. 3.Was the application of the said company found in order If any discrepancies, please list out. 4.Please state whether the application for re-registration of M/s PPL, if any, was accepted or Not 5.Is M/s Phonographic Performance Limited be a legal Copyright Society as on date 6.Can the said M/s Phonographic Performance Limited collect any royalty from anyone as a Copyright Society as on date 7.Is it true that M/s Phonographic Performance Limited is under investigation for various malpractices in the past as a Copyrights Society If so, provide details. 8.Has the Copyright board received any letter or rejoinder or clarification from M/s Phonographic Performance Limited further to its application for re-registration. If any please provide copies. 9.Has the Copyright Board released any order, direction, advertisement, public notice with regards to M/s Phonographic Performance Limited after 21-06-2012 10.Please provide a copy of Tariff Scheme as proposed by M/s Phonographic Performance Limited. Further, as provided under Section 6 (3) of the Right to information Act, in case, this application does not fall under your authority, I request you to transfer the same in the designated time (5 days) to the concerned authority and inform me of the same immediately. To the best of my knowledge the information sought does not fall within the restrictions contained in section 8 and 9 of the Act and it pertains to your office.
