Ministry of Home affairs Website (mha1.nic.in/pdfs/oci-chart.pdf) says: OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) and PIO card holders get Prity with Non resident Indians (NRIs) in respect of economic, financial and educational fields But JEE Advanced website (jeeadv.iitb.ac.in/nationality) for admissions to IIT says: Seats allotted to foreign nationals are supernumerary 1) Kindly confirm if OCI/PIO card holders get seats allocated along with Indian students or if they will be treated as foreign nationals and allocated supernumerary seats. JEE Advanced brochure does not clarify on this point. 2) If CIO/PIO are allocated only the supernumerary seats in IITs, it seems to conflict with the policy of Ministry of Home affairs.
