I need to know the limit on parental income to be eligible for Merit cum Means scholarship in any IIT. Some IITs follow 6.0 lac limit while others follow 4.5 lac limit. Please tell me the official limit and give me a copy (or a link) of notification letter. No need to send a hard copy. I found out that letter No.1-19/2013-NS-l dated 06-06-2013, notified the change in the limit on parental income for scholarships. All the IITs follow the scholarship rules set up by the MHRD only, then why is it written in the reply that IITs are separate authorities. They come inder MHRD. There is no option to file RTI to MHRD, so I filed to Dept of Higher Education, the closest one to MHRD.
