As per Circular Issued by MHRD ( F.N0.17-2/2014-TS.I ) on 18 Feb 2015 (enclosed herewith as supporting document), according to Section 2.1 ( item 01 ), Existing Emoluments (per month) for 5th year students of 5 year Undergraduate (UG) Programmes of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) should increase from Rs. 8000/- per month to Rs. 12,400/- per month with effect from 01 Feb 2015, as per Section 7 of the above said notification. In continuation to this notification, MHRD issued another Circular Dated 02nd March 2015 with the same file number ( F.N0.17-2/2014-TS.I ) (also enclosed here) in which Section 02 stated that the revised rates of the above mentioned fellowship/assistantship will be effective from 1st December 2014 for M.E/M.tech/MS/M.Des students (which also covers 5th year students of 5 year UG programmes). But Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has not given the increased fellowship/assistantship amount to 5th year students of 5 year Undergraduate Programmes. I have the following questions regarding the above issue: (1) Has the money for increased fellowship/assistantship been given to/approved for IIT Delhi by the MHRD (2) If IIT Delhi has not been given the money for the increased fellowship/assistantship, till what date IIT Delhi will get the money and till what date students will receive the arrears (with effect from 1st December, 2014) (3) if IIT Delhi already has the money for increased fellowship/assistantship, till what date students will receive their arrears (with effect from 1st December, 2014) (4) Why is there a delay in giving the increased fellowship/assistantship to the students despite the fact that MHRD circulars were released on 18th Feb 2015 and 2nd March 2015 (5) What is IIT Delhi currently doing to ensure that students receive their arrears as soon as possible since the final year students of 5 year UG Programmes are about to graduate from IIT Delhi by July 2015 and they will be required to get a no-dues certificate from IIT Delhi
