After Shri Arun Jaitley announced in the Budget that he proposes to convert Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad to a full-fledged IIT, what steps have been taken by the Dept. of Higher Education to complete this conversion process 2. What steps remain pending for conversion to take place 3. Whether a draft bill to approve the conversion and include the new IITs declared have been prepared . If so, kindly provide a copy of the draft bill. 4. What will be the name of the institute post conversion. Whether a decision has been taken in this regard. 5. Whether the MHRD has received communication from any stakeholders regarding the conversion of ISM Dhanbad to an IIT or the name of institute post conversion. Kindly provied a copy of all such communications. 6. Kindly provide a copy of the complete file for conversion of ISM dhanbad to an IIT, and all papers associated with this issue.
