Respected Sir/Madam, My application is in context with JoSAA 2015 held first time this year for admission in IITs,ISM,NITs,GFTIs. This is my humble request to kindly refer to Point no.XVII i.e ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR IN JEE (ADVANCED) IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS page no-30 of BUSINESS RULES as on the website of JoSAA 2015(www.josaa.nic.in) which states that:- 58. Candidates who reject allocated seat can appear for JEE (Advanced) 2016 provided they meet all other eligibility requirements. 59. Candidates who accept the allocated seat by reporting at the admitting institute or a reporting center, irrespective of whether they attend classes or not, become ineligible for JEE (Advanced) in subsequent years. With reference to above points I would request you to kindly furnish me the following informations point-wise:- 1.Here accepting the seat means taking admission in the ALLOTTED INSTITUTE or only reporting to REPORTING CENTRES for document verification (with payment of Rs.45,000 through challan) for further counselling rounds. 2.Here the seat refers to which seat. Seat of IITs,ISM,NITs or GFTIs. 3.Here rejecting the seat means not reporting to the ALLOTTED INSTITUTE or not reporting to the REPORTING CENTRE for document verification(along with paying Rs.45,000). 4.I would like to discuss my case.My JEE(Main) roll no. is 15804212.I was allotted a GFTI(Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidhyalaya,Haridwar) in Round 02 of JoSSA 2015.I reported at NIT Delhi,Narela for DOCUMENT VERIFICATION (with a bank challan of Rs.45,000) for taking part in further rounds.Finally I was allotted NIT Mizoram in Round 04.Now I am not willing to take admission in NIT Mizoram and I will not report to the same for admission. My question is whether I am eligible for giving JEE Advance next year(i.e in 2016). As a student one year matters a lot for me.I have contacted NIT Patna,IIT Delhi about this issue,they are saying that nothing much is clear until ministry releases a circular.So,kindly clarify my eligibility for attempting JEE Advance next year.Also mention what compensation would be applicable to me if the MHRD or Department of Higher Education fails to provide such a paramount information to me on time.
