My city Raichur (Somalia of Karnataka) was the option for IIT in Karnataka from a various committees. Now MHRD has declared Dharward as its destination. I would like to know on what parameters the assessment was done and what are the parameter Raichur achieved and what is the gap between Raichur and Dharward. I am not complaining Why Dharward I would like to know Why not Raichur Raichur is very underdeveloped place. I am sorry to say that it is as good as Somalia of Karnataka. And the People from various sects (Politics) claim that they have made continuous and hard efforts to get IIT to Dharward. I would like to know that were our Higher Education Department officials were in pressure to make such decision. I have great respect on our officials. But I still want to know as a fellow citizen of Raichur (Somalia of Karnataka) as why not Raichur. (Somalia of Karnataka) Regards,
