Respected Sir/Madam, Im Nanda Kumar N, felt ambiguity in notification/letter F. No. 17-2/2014-T.S-I letter dated 8th October, 2015. Hence, seeking clarification regarding the following: 1)In letter dated 8th October, 2015, stated letter shall be applicable from 10-07-2015. Does it mean a.Can 2011 January joined research scholars (who are in their 5th year phd (4yrs 6 months) ) are eligible to get the 5th year stipend b.Can 2011 July joined research scholars are eligible to get the 5th year stipend 2)If they are eligible, do they get arrears for their entire 5th year or will they get stipend from 10-7-2015 to dec-2015 For example January 2011 joined scholars completed their 4th year in December 2014, so, do they get this revised stipend i.e., Rs 28000/- from 2015 January to 2015 December 3)If the above scenario is not the case please do give clarification on this. i.e., For 2011 January and July batch, how much they will get the mentioned revised stipend 4) In academics, the joining session is considered as batch.
