My this query is in relation with GATE 2015 examination which was conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur which is an Institute under MHRD, Govt. of India. For the Applicants who had chosen New Delhi / Delhi as their exam center had their exams scheduled on 07 February 2015, a date on which State Assembly Elections were also scheduled. I wish to know following: 1. What were the circumstances which not let the GATE 2015 authority to have the exam postponed to a later date, particularly when there was plenty amount of time available between Gate 2015 result declaration date and counselling dates for the admission. 2. Was there any advisory issued to exam centers in New Delhi / Delhi area ( regarding candidates who reports/arrives late at the Exam Centers from the scheduled arrival time of reporting but before the actual start of examination), IF there was any what was that advisory. 3. IF there was NO advisory issued, WHY NOT particularly when it was a known fact that all private vehicles were not allowed to run and public transport availability was made limited along with exam was scheduled in the morning session of winter month.
