Dear Sir, I am Barun Kumar Barick, a PhD student of Department of Physics, IIT Bombay[dot] As per the notification by MHRD, F[dot]No[dot] 17-2/2014-T[dot]S[dot]-I on 8th Oct 2015, the duration of fellowship has been increased form 4 years to 5 years and that is in effect from 10 July 2015[dot] There is a confusion about implementation date[dot] Is it means the fellowship will be extended for all of them who are in tenure of fellowship at least up to 10 July 2015 or for them who got admission after 10 July 2015[dot] IIT Bombay is interpreting the date of applicable from 10 July 2015 means those who got admission after this date[dot] However, some other IITs have already extended the fellowship to 5 years[dot] Therefore, I earnestly request you to please clarify about implementation date of the MHRD fellowship for PhD students joined with MTech/ME degree[dot] Thank you for your time and looking forward to your response[dot] Yours sincerely, Barun Kumar Barick Roll No:114120006 PhD Scholar Department of Physics IIT Bombay email:bkbarick[at]iitb[dot]ac[dot]in bkbarick[at]gmail[dot]com
