Eligibility |
i. Japanese Language: a) Students who are enrolled in the Post Graduate Degree course in Japanese Language from a recognized university. b) Students who have completed undergraduate Degree Course in Japanese Language from a recognized university. c) Students who have completed undergraduate degree course in any subject from recognized university with 50% or above marks and who have completed Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) conducted by Japan Foundation and have competed at least 3 years of Japanese Language study from a recognized university/institute in India. ii. Japanese Studies: Master Degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks. iii. For Research Studies (Ph.D) (a) Masters Degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks. Candidate having practical research/ teaching / work experience after obtaining the prescribed qualification as on 30 - 05- 2008 would be preferred. (b) Students who have bachelor's degree in science or arts or engineering and have completed 15 years or 16 years curriculum (i.e. 12+3 or 12+4) are also eligible for the Research Students Scholarship of the Japanese government provided that they have minimum 60% marks. |

Passage Cost | Return air ticket is provided by the Japanese Government. |
Application Procedure | Typed application with attested copies of testimonials, photograph, programme of study/research and other documents may be submitted on plain paper (as per notified format) by prescribed date. Employed candidates are required to send applications through their employers with NOC. |
