Respected Sir, As per the current situation and education policy of the country, 1. Is it possible if a Deemed University offer a degree course in Engineering (B.Tech) with out UGC approval and the people who obtained degree (which UGC says there is no approval) can get admission for IITs, NIITs for various higher education programmes like M.Tech and Phd in engineering subjects and employed in various central govt. organisations like power grid corporation, Ministry of Defense, CPWD etc. Also employment through UPSC and state govts like Rjasthan, Andra pradesh, Orisha etc 2. In such cases who will be responsible for the validity of Degree issued from the University and what will be the support from MHRD for the students who obtained those degrees (the students joined the course because UGC and MHRD websites indicate the university in the list of recognised universities and there is no approved course list mentioned in the UGC/MHRD notification issued to university declaring as Deemed university, as well MHRD notifications says all deemed University can offer professional courses without UGC approval) Attached the copy of RTI reply from IITs and Central govt. organisations regards Shine Sasidharan |

Respected Sir, Thanks for your respond to the RTI. the answer was not clarifying the question, hence request you to clarify further to avoid confusions 1. As per my knowledge, MHRD is the superior authority / department / Ministry controlling the Higher education in India, if not please clarify. 2. Attached a reply issued from UGC indicating the B.Tech degree issued from IASE Deemed University is not recognized (UGC is stating that, they did not give any permission to IASE Deemed University, Rajasthan to run engineering courses), whereas various IITs, NIITs, RECs and Central govt offices are confirming that they have admitted graduates of IASE Deemed University based on their B.Tech degree for higher education / employment in their organization (Copy of IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, NIIT Roorkee, Ministry of Defense etc attached), is it possible as per the current education approval system in the country, If the answer is Yes why UGC is giving such statement and what can be the action from MHRD against UGC. In case UGC statement is correct, then who will be responsible for the validity of the validity of the B.Tech Degree issued from IASE University and the M.Tech and Phd obtained their post IASE-B.tech degree yours faithfully Shine |

Dear Sir I would like to convey you that, I had applied (application no. 00028879) for the PhD program in Center for Rural Development and Technology at IIT Delhi in October 2014. For that I had given the interview on December 2014. But according to IIT norms, they have to give me the second class railway travel fare to and fro my home. For this, I had filled the requisite form with all other details and submitted it to the concerned Department. Till now, I am not getting the travel fare. I would like to know the bottlenecks of the process. Also I would like to request you that kindly solve the matter as soon as possible. Thank You Yours faithfully Priyadarshan Sahoo |

The questions are related to the seniority of faculty in IITs: 1. Who among the two categories are senior: (A) Assistant Professor (Contract), and (B) Assistant Professor 2. Whether the above two categories are equivalent and the term contract has no significance with respect to seniority |

Respected Sir, The nodal officer mentions that it is not clear to him to which institutes I was referring to in spite of clearly mentioning IITs in my application. I cannot appreciate his answer as I think IITs are well known in ministry of HRD. In any case, I would like to elaborate further that IITs mentioned in my first application were national institutes named Indian Institute of Technology governed by the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961. I request you kindly to do the needful to direct your subordinate officers to give an appreciable reply, kindly. Sincerely |

With reference to my RTI application no. DOHED/R/2015/60276, Respected PIO refused to give information asked in point no. 9 which was asked for previous batch (MBA 2014-16), for which application process has been completed. Also in point no. 6, information regarding number of seats has been asked, which has nothing to do with completion of admission process. Moreover under point no. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 8 can be given as these information are generic in nature and every college discloses these information before application process and these must be given as per RTI act 2005. Here is the list of various points asked in RTI application: 1) What was the weightage given to different components while making shortlist for GT/PI. what was the aggregate cut off 2) Howmany marks are scored by me upto shortlisting process. What was my rank upto this stage (Application No. MS14A1265) 3) What will be weighatge for different components in making the final list after GD/PI 4) How many candidates applied, category-wise 5) How many have been shortlisted, category-wise 6) Howmany seats are there categorywise 7) Why the criteria for shortlisting was not disclosed before the CAT result 8) What was the Cat Cut off for various categories 9) Howmany candidates were selected for previous batch in 1st list, howmuch was the waitlist movement for general category |
