For Budget 2017-18: The Budget At a Glance - Expenditure report on the website of Finance Ministry shows Expenditure on education being 79686 Cr whereas under the report for Annual Financial Statements the total expenditure on education i.e. General & Technical is shown as 36884 Cr (i.e. 22480 Cr and 14404 Cr). Request to please clarify the difference between 79686 Cr Vs 36884 Cr. Note: Item 3 & 4: Break may be in terms of a. Capital and Revenue Expenditure b. Items or Areas of spend e.g. Primary Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education c. Break up may also be provided for heads of expenditure under each area (e.g. Salaries, Pensions, Mid day meals, school infrastructure etc.)
