The following questions pertain to IIT Delhi:\n1) Why were the students of IIT Delhi staying in the hostels in IIT Delhi Campus not allowed to keep a cooler with them prior to 29th April, 2016.\n2) Was the college administration aware of such a restriction. Was the Director aware of the situation.\n3) What was the reason/motive behind such a restriction. Who was/were the college official(s) who had imposed such a restriction. Who were the signing authorities of such a order/decree.\n4) Were students made a part of the discussion over the issue. If No, why. If yes, what are the names of those students.\n5) Were the parents of the hostel students informed about the situation. If no, why.\n6) Was there any discretion over girls & boys on this issue.\n7) Were there any special cases that were considered. What are the names of those considered students.\n8) Were there any AC/Cooler in the entire institute. If yes, why were those places allowed to have them.\n9) Was such a restriction being imposed on faculties, staff, administrative officials, etc. of the college. If no, why.\n10) What changed around 29th April, 2016 that the hostel students were later allowed to keep a cooler in their rooms.\n11) For years various confiscation of coolers was going on in a number of hostels. One of them being a confiscation raid by hostel authorities of Aravali Hostel in Summer of 2015. On whose orders were such confiscations being made. Shouldnt such authorities be penalised. Is it not the college responsibility to provide compensation for such raids to the students. (Please provide elaborate justification for all the answers be it yes or no).
