If a person joins a government higher educational institution such as IITs or NITs as Technical Officer, as per the OM, after how many years will his/her designation be changed to Sr. Technical Officer, Technical Officer (SG), etc 2. If a person joins a government higher educational institution such as IITs or NITs as Technical Officer in Pay Band 3 with Grade Pay of 5400, as per the OM, after how many years will his/her grade pay be changed to 6600 and 7600 3. Are Technical Officers in Pay Band 3 with Grade Pay of 5400 or higher be treated as Group A officers or Group B officers 4. Which posts / designations in Group-A category come under Academic / Scientific / Design / Technical Officer Cadre 5. Which posts in Group-A category come under ICT / Research Labs staff cadre 6. What are the various time bond promotional avenues available for Group-A staff in Pay Band 3 with Grade Pay of 5400 or higher as per VI Pay (or as per pre revised scale of 8000 as per V Pay) for reaching next higher grade pay such 6600, 7600, 8700 These time bound promotions may be defined as after 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, etc. 7. With respect to educational qualifications, is it a must that all Group-A Officers should have a first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10 point scale) or is it that second class is also acceptable 8. What happens when a Group-A Officer acquires a higher educational qualification such as M.E. or M.Tech. or M.S. (by Research) Are they given any increments If yes how many increments 9. When does the designation of a Technical Officer change to Senior (Sr), Senior Scale (SS), or Selection Grade (SG) or Principal Cadre Is it time bound such as after 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, etc. or does the designation change only via open call for 10. Is re-designation without any change in pay, and/or without any increment, considered as promotion 11. Generally as per rule / OM, how many promotions can be given to a staff in their entire service Is there any cap on the minimum or maximum number of promotions 12.
