Dear Sir/Madam I am enrolled in a regular PhD programme at IIT Roorkee. I have a valid GATE score, therefore, I am eligible to get MHRDs Institute assistantship/stipend as given to PhD candidates under MHRDs scheme. My queries are: Question 1) Can a regular PhD candidate who is getting a stipend from MHRD enrol into Territorial Army for services while doing his PhD. Question 2) Territorial army recruits MPs, Players etc. even when they are working in their respective jobs, What are MoDs qualification criteria and guidelines in case of a PhD pursuing candidate.
