215 DOHED/R/2019/50954 nil Respected Sir/Madam, I am a research scholar of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), I joined the institution on February, 10th 2014 under the supervision of Dr. Shail Shankar to pursue my Ph.D. with the institution. This is with reference to my arbitrary suspension from the institution for the period of one year (Effective from: 29th June, 2018 to 28th June 2019) on the basis of a malafide, fake and baseless complaint against me made by one of my fellow researcher, Amrutha N V (D15046) of the same institution. On January 29th, 2019, I wrote an application related to my problem to the current minister HRD. On February 4th, 2019, I had also written to the Secretary Department of Higher Education (Mr. R. Subrahmanyam) and Additional Secretary Department of Higher Education (Mr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu) in this regard. I again appealed them all on February 12th & 27th, 2019 to look into the matter and help me accordingly. But I did not get any reply from anyone of them. On March 29th, 2019 through an RTI (RTI application registration no. DOHED/R/2019/50573, dated: March 11th, 2019) filed by me, I got to know that the respective appellate authorities (DHE) are still waiting for a reply from the authorities of the concerned institution (IIT Mandi). Except this I do not have a single knowledge about the further progress in this regard. Therefore, I want to seek following information from the department concerned (DHE): 1. Please tell me that whether any reply has been sent from the concerned institution (IIT Mandi) or not in this regard. 2. Please tell me about the prescribed time-period of reply assigned to the concerned institution. 3. If the institution fails/delays the reply, then please specify the remedial measures available to and taken by the respective appellate authorities (DHE) to ensure a timely redressal of my grievance. 4. If no measures have been taken so far by the respective appellate authorities to ensure timely response from the concerned institution (IIT Mandi), then please specify the reasons. 5. If the institution fails/delays the reply, then please specify the measures available to me to ensure a quick and timely redressal of my grievance. 6. Please tell me the details of the reply, if any, sent by the concerned institution. Thanking you. Sincerely Yours, Pravin Kumar Research Scholar (D13020) School of Humanities and Social Sciences Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) - 175005. Enclosures: 1.
