19 DOHED/R/E/20/00270 nil The response to RTI query DOHED/R/E/20/00223 is unsatisfactory. My question is very specific to the rules of reservation when a B.Tech student who is already admitted to an IIT is converted to the M.Tech program. I fully understand that a B.Tech student is admitted to an IIT as per Govt of India reservation norms. My query is when IITs allow their B.Tech students to convert to M.Tech program, do the IITs have to follow the reservation norms of the Govt. of India. For instance some IITs as per their senate guidelines allow 10% students to convert to M.Tech program. So within that 10%, do the IITs have to follow the reservation norms. 28-01-2020 nil no information in this regard is available with the CPIO. However, the same may be available with individual IITs, which are separate Public Authorities having their own CPIO/PIO and Appellate Authorities under the RTI Act, 2005.
