Respected Sir/Madam\nRegarding admission in the seats reserved for various socially and economically backward classes in higher education institutes, different institutes follow different rules and there is no document in public domain showing clear cut guidelines which can be produced before the admission authorities to make them right. Therefore, I would like to seek the following information in this regard:\nA) What is the breakup of reservation of seats for various categories\n\nB) What is Horizontal and Vertical reservation, (please illustrate with an example if possible) \n\nC) What are the guidelines for the conversion of seats reserved for a particular category, say for example if a seat is reserved for ST-Dibyang (PH) and no one terns up, so how would it be converted, Should it be filled by Dibyang (PH) in other categories including general or by other candidates of ST category or be directly converted into general category i.e. open for all.\n\nD) If a seat is reserved for ST category and no one turns up then would it be directly thrown open for all or be converted progressively i.e. first to SC then OBC and then General. \n\nThanking you |
