3155 DOHED/R/2015/63371 nil Dear Sir, I am Manoranjan Choudhury,B.Tech (year 2010 passout) in Electronic and Telecommunication .I would like to highlight that exam fee for GATE exam is always too high.This year its fee is 1500 rupees for General and OBC candidate. I want to inform you Exam fees of Railway,ISRO and BARC are always at minimal Exam fee(less than 300 rupees). Exam fee for railway section engineer is 100 rupees, Exam fee for scientist post in ISRO is 100 rupees, Exam fee for scientist post in BARC is 250 rupees). This is always help the candidates from middle class family to apply for these exams. Here I have attached document to show exam fees of GATE and others. But GATE Exam is too high always hence it is difficult to apply for candidate from middle class family.Govt should bring the GATE fee to an affordable amount (less than 500) so that candidates from middle class family can dream for higher study or recruitment by PSU sector using GATE Score. The reply is not satisfactory as I have asked a specific question that it is dept of education which governs all IITs and we cannot generalise and ask these same questions to all different IITs. Cant the deptt even track and advice how much addmissions were given under reservation and out of whicvh how many qualified to be Dr. and enginneers. Hope we get an answer to this. Respected Sir, With due respect i would like to state the following thing:- --As per the letter no.F.NO.17-2/2014-TS.I issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development,Department of Higher Education Technical Section-I(hereby attached for your kind reference),it states that the hostel accommodation will be provided by the institute if available to the M.tech students or else HRA allowance will be provided on the fellowship amount(Kindly refer the service conditions in notification). --The complete service as provided by the respective deptt. is given by M.tech students and the records can be verified. Under the RTI act-2005,I would like to know the following information(postal order for Rs. 10 enclosed):- --Under the service condition as mentioned in the above notification by MHRD ,kindly explain the HRA allowance provided to the M.tech students. --If the govt. institute is providing the hostel facilities, whether the institute can impose the hostel charges on the M.tech students. --If the hostel charges are being imposed by the institute, under what limits or as per the HRA allowance condition, the institute can apply the charges.
