But issue is with the department of Humanities and social Sciences and MBA departments. Some institute is paying the hike fellowship with the same circular but some institutes are not agree with this circular that there is no where mentioned this hike fellowship is meant for the Humanities and social science and MBA department.(Documents attached) Hence, provide the information of my below four questions: 1) Is there any special notice to each institute related to this hike fellowship for the department of humanities and social sciences If Yes, please mention these IIT/ NIT institutes. If No, under this circular the students pursuing Ph D (with NET) in the department of humanities and social Sciences at NITs are getting hike fellowship from October, 2014. 3016 DOHED/R/2015/80643 nil The department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) took a decision of transferring the unused departmental funds meant for providing financial assistance to the students for national conferences to those students who need financial assistance for presenting papers in International conferences. Since most of those funds remain unused, it may provide some financial assistance to the students going for international conferences. This proposal was rejected by the IIT Guwahati administration. 3017 DOHED/R/2015/62199/1 nil According to MHRD circular no. F.No 17-2/2014-TS.1 dated 2-3-2015, all the MHRD funded institutes (IITs and NITs) are hiked fellowship to their students. Most of the institutes are paying the hike fellowship rate to their doctoral students of all departments. But problem is with the departments of Management (MBA), humanities and social sciences. Some institutes (NIT Rourkela (Odisha) NIT Bhopal (Bihar)) are not agreeing to pay the hike fellowship rate for management, humanities and social sciences departments. These institutes say that in the aforesaid MHRD circular there is nowhere mentioned that this fellowship is meant for Management, Humanities and social sciences departments. Hence provide the information of below requests 1.Is there any special notice to each and every institute and their departments regarding the hike in fellowship 2.On the basis of above said circular, most of the institutes are giving hike fellowship to their doctoral students belongs to management, humanities and social sciences departments. My question is, do the departments of management, humanities and social sciences of all NITs are coming under this circular or not If not, please provide information why. 3.And also please provide the information regarding each and every IITs and NITs the amount of scholarship they are paying to their doctoral students of Management, humanities, and social sciences. 29/06/2015 nil Reply attached.
