652 DOHED/R/2018/51481 nil Honourable Sir,\nThere is National level GATE exams for the admission of Post Graduation in technical colleges. Its being conducted the IITS of India. For the Past out students, all IITS have different admission procedures , No set criteria. They conduct their own written/ or verbal test in their own centres Many times it happens that students are called at 2 or 3 different IITS situated far away from each other with dates almost coinciding with each other. It becomes too difficult to travel & manage it in such a short notice. Secondly, interviews are held between May to June months which is a peek vacation time in India where almost its next to impossible to get rail reservation as people have already booked tickets 4 months in advances. Also the air fares are far too expensive as it touches sky rocketing. \nThere is no Centralized admission procedure even after passing through this All India level exams & irony is that each IIT has its own & different admission procedures. On the contrary to get admission in Foreign universities, student need to pass just a one exams sitting in India & once cleared not only he/ she gets admission but also starts earning no sooner they reach there after enrolling themselves. But here the situation is very scary, even after preparing for the Gate exams which is equally time consuming & even after clearing it successfully, there is no guarantee of admission in this so called IITS transparently. Sir, why cannot this be under centralized process 17/06/2018 nil Reply Attached View nil nil nil View nil View
