2478 DOHED/R/2016/50452 nil Respected Sir/Madam,\nI am a Mechanical Engineer, graduated in July 2015 and I have appeared for GATE 2016. I wish to apply for M.Tech program in various IITs and while searching for an apt institution for my purpose I have encountered a serious issue.\n\nThe IITs give admission for MTech course on the basis of GATE Score. So the issue is that majority of IITs have not mentioned their previous years admission scores and student has certainly no idea whether he/she would get admitted to that college or not. The IITs have mentioned just minimum cutoff to fill the application form which is very much different from what actually the last student of the institute has secured.\n\nTherefore, a student has to blindly apply in all the IITs and try his/her luck. That eventually results in huge loss of money as he/she has to apply individually for every college.\n\nHence, I request that IITs are directed to make the information regarding previous admissions for MTech public (for example last candidates GATE Score/ GATE Rank) so that we students can make informed choices and also avoid unnecessary loss of money. 10/02/2016 nil Reply attached.
