Respected Sir/Mam,\n\n1. An RTI application was filed with the Department of Higher Education/MHRD bearing registration number DOHED/R/2018/80812.\n\n2. It was intended to provide the following information:-\n\nQuestion:- List of institutes (Governmental/Non-governmental) and companies (Governmental and Non-Governmental) which accept the certificate of MOOCS for employment or for gaining higher education.\n\n3. The CPIO/Under Secretary has replied wide letter dated 01.08.2018 stating that the such information is not part of the records.\n\n4. This appeal is result of no information being provided by the concerned officer. \n\n5. It is submitted that the SWAYAM portal which hosts Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCS) courses has been inaugurated and supported officially by MHRD. There is following news report in this regard:-\n\nhttps://www.jagranjosh.com/current-affairs/hrd-ministry-launches-online-refresher-programmes-for-higher-education-faculty-1525493358-1\n\n6. The overall career growth depends not upon the\n number of courses attended nor on the knowledge gained from such courses. \nIt purely depends upon the recognition granted to such courses from statutory bodies \nof the Government of India or having acceptance in any private sector company.\n\n7. Hence it is essential to know the validity of such courses done online through MOOCS\n\nWaiting for reply. |
