If there are any, how many seats are reserved for them in those colleges. (2) Are the quotas reserved for them always filled or are there instances of the seats reserved for them not been filled due to lack of application from the transgender students. If so, how many such instances have been recorded in those colleges in the past one year i.e. 2016. (3) What is the drop out rate of among the transgender students admitted in those colleges (4) Have there been instances of assault and harassment reported against the Transgender students by the fellow students and faculties in those colleges, If so, what all actions have been taken against the accused in such cases in the past two years i.e. 2015 and 2016. (5) Are there any policies in place to protect the interests of the Transgender Students in the those colleges, If there, please specify what they are ( at least 4 of them ). 1222 DOHED/R/2017/52753/1 nil In the year 2015, with a view to strengthen the IITs/NITs, the council of IITs and NITs enhanced he tuition fee in the Indian Institutes of Technology to INR 2 lakh p.a from INR 90,000. The tuition fees in NITs also enhanced from INR 70,000 to Rs 1.20 lakh per student per annum from academic session 2016-17 with following remission/exemption: a. The Sc/St/PH students shall get complete fee waiver. b. The most economically backward students (whose family income is less than INR 1.00 lakh per annum) shall get full remission of the fee. c. The other economically backward students (whose family income is between INR 1 .00 lakh to INR 5.00 lakh per annum) shall get remission of 2/3rd of the fee. View DOHED/A/2017/60270 Dear Sir/madam On the website of MHRD,DOHED, it is clearly stated at S.No. 19 that ALL admn/technical/financial matters related to IITs are being dealt by US(TS-1 ) Prisca Mathew whereas at S.No.22 Sri R S Solanki US is dealing with matters related to NITs. I repeat, I have requested the information in respects of implementation of OM No. 38/37/08-P&PW(A) GOI dated 6th april 2016 in various IITs NOT NITs especially IIT Roorkee. Secondly I will be grateful if u kindly inform me about the competent authority responsible for implementation of the above OM and the action taken so far for implementation of the above OM To my knowledge some of the institutions lIke IIT Delhi and UGC who are under the admistrative control of MHRD have implementated the above OM for the benefit of pre 2006 pensioners whereas IIT Roorkee ia waiting for necessary instruction from MHRD to implement the above OM Thus the Information provided is not appears to be satisfactory and therefore considered as refusal to access of information. The official guidelines of processing public grievances relating to MHRD(HE) were sought to understand the logical flow of the processing of my PG portal applications toward MHRD(HE).
