940 DOHED/R/2018/81413 nil Dear Sir,\n\nI joined IIT Delhi under the old pension scheme (GPF) on 18/11/2003. I was in service with IIT Delhi from 18/11/2018 - 20/08/2010. I then moved to work with IIT Madras from 24/-08/2010 - 27/06/2018. I got my service transfer and I was again under the old pension scheme (GPF).\n\nI joined IIT Delhi at the age of 20 and made a voluntary resignation from IIT Madras at the age of 35.\n\nI was told that I am not eligible for a half pension as I have completed more than 10 years of service and I am choosing to resign voluntarily and not because of superannuation. However, if I had completed 10 years of service and I retire due to superannuation, then I would be eligible for a half pension.\n\nThe rules, however, does not have any specific mention about the superannuation and 10 years of service. \n\nI would like to know if I am eligible for a half pension as I have completed more than 10 years of service under the old pension scheme. \n\nThanks,\nSelva 16/11/2018 nil Reply Attached View nil nil nil View nil View
