1716 DOHED/R/2016/53842/1 nil This is Murugan S residing in Chennai. I have two kids and the elder one is in the 12th grade this year and as a parent I wanted to write to you and ask you few things to get clarity on the upcoming IIT-JEE exams for the year 2017. \n\nAs you would be aware of, there has been lot of things in the media on IIT-JEE exams, format, fee, admission criteria etc. Ever since there is a public disclosure on the recommendations of the committee set up by IIT Council and their findings, it has been anxious days to parents like us to know the status of any decisions made by HRD ministry on these recommendations. \n\nHere are the concerns/queries that we have and would like your office to address them as you deem fit:\n1. Is the pattern of IIT-JEE exam going to be changed for the year 2017. There has been media reports that the exam pattern would be changed to include subjective questions.\n\n2. What is the qualification criteria (% of marks scored in XII Board exams) for appearing in the IIT-JEE exams for the year 2017. Would the marks scored in XII board exams would be given any weightage or not. There has been confusing messages on this front so far. \n\n3. What is the qualification and admission criteria for admissions to NITs for the year 2017. This is another area of ambiguity. \n\n4. Has any decision been taken to upwardly revise the fee structure for IITs and NITs. If so, when would that be made effective\n\nA letter was sent out to the HRD Minister on 29th August and we are yet to get a reply. Time is of essence on this issue as it might affect the students passing out their XII grade in 2017. Pls respond sooner.\n\nJai Hind 21/09/2016 nil Reply attached. 1720 DOHED/R/2016/53814 nil I, Myself Mr. Purnendu Nandy, am a research scholar of school of basic sciences IIT bhubaneswar, bhubaneswar odisha. I am sponsored fellow from UGC, Govt. of India. I have successfully completed all the norms of IIT bhubaneswar to fulfil my credential as PhD scholar. But after 4.5 years of my 5 years tenure of PhD my supervisor Prof. V. R. Pedireddi suddenly withdraw his ministration on my work and refuses to register my self as a scholar. However I have applied to IIT authority to provide me the reasons behind for this type of practice but didnt receive any information regarding this. As it is obvious that it is hampering my career and put me in a tremendous stress and pressure. It already passed almost 90 days after that and still I didnot received any update from IIT authority. However the authority is entertaining this practice of my supervisor as he is a dean of IIT and using his power to influence all the persons. It is my right to know the reason behind such type of practice by my supervisor and IIT authority. 19/09/2016 nil Reply attached. View nil nil nil View nil View
