View DOHED/A/2016/60128 Sir/Madam,\n With reference to my RTI query having Request Registration Number as DOHED/R/2016/50818, I would like to bring to your notice that vide this RTI application, I have sought certified copy of rules and regulations of assistantship/scholarship scheme for the students (who were GATE qualified) admitted in full-time MTech course in the academic session 2014-15. \n I have also sought certified copy of the rules and regulations of the above mentioned scholarship/assistantship scheme that are in place as on date. \n I have also sought the certified copies of all orders/directives/guidelines issued by government of India related to this scholarship scheme.\n I have not been provided the sought information. Moreover, CPIO has forwarded my RTI application to IIT, Kharagpur for getting information about the rules and regulations of GATE exam that was conducted in 2014 by IIT, Kharagpur. 2439 DOHED/R/2016/50820 nil To\nMs.Prisca Matthews\nCPIO (TS.I)\n\nI am seeking the following information from DHE because CPIO(IIT-KGP) by his email has not proactively provide me the following information which I sought from him after I came to know that an IIT-KGP B.Tech graduate Mr.Arvind Kejriwal who publicly claims to have CGPA of over 8.5/10 has publicly stated that he does not know physics, that he does not know why physics is important, and that he learned physics years after he left IIT-KGP (where as a student he was also exposed to liquor consumption) by mugging up and vomiting out his knowledge for his UPSC entrance exams. I also read in the same piece that Mr. Kejriwal was found to be incompetent as an engineer by M/s Tatas and they simultaneously turned down his request to be employed with them as a social worker. All this information, if true, seriously causes me to question the input systems and quality of education imparted in Mechanical Engineering at IIT-KGP and how evaluation takes place and degrees are being awarded.\n\nNB, I have responded to DHE public notice on IIT-JEE restructuring and this RTI is filed in larger public interest. Because this matter concerns quality of DHEs control over IITs, I am requesting that DHE secure the information from IIT-KGP and provide it to me.\n\nInformation requested:\n\n1) Whether or not, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal (presently Chief Minister of Delhi) was awarded a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering by IIT-KGP, and if so\n\na) His CGPA, his GPA (semester wise), his overall percentage and if any class / distinction etc was awarded,\n\nb) A list of subjects / papers Mr.Kejriwal was examined in along with his marks / grades in each subject in fulfillment of his degree,\n\nc) The dates between which Mr.Kejriwal attended / was enrolled at IIT-KGP\n\nd) Whether he has collected his degree.\n\ne) The basis whereby Mr.Arvind Kejriwal entered the B.Tech program and his All India Rank (A.I.R) in any competitive entrance exam such as JEE.etc. 14/03/2016 nil Reply attached.
