Greetings...
I want to know about new scheme of providing 70k stipend to IIT Graduates to do Research in IITs/IISc. I want to know the following:
1). Whether someone already doing PHD in IITs and satisfying all eligibility conditions will get the benefit of it or only fresher will be eligible.
2). Next Semester is from January,18 in all IITs. Can we expect implementation of this scheme from then.
3). Someone who had completed his graduation 2 years back is eligible for this or only final year students are eligible.

I am enrolled in a regular PhD programme at IIT Roorkee. I have a valid GATE score, therefore, I am eligible to get MHRDs Institute assistantship/stipend as given to PhD candidates under MHRDs scheme.
My queries are:
Question 1) Can a regular PhD candidate who is getting a stipend from MHRD enrol into Territorial Army for services while doing his PhD.
Question 2) Territorial army recruits MPs, Players etc. even when they are working in their respective jobs, What are MoDs qualification criteria and guidelines in case of a PhD pursuing candidate.
